Happy Thanksgiving!
Posted by datacrush under Rave
Thanksgiving gave me Turkey hangover, but I could do it all over again, I would change nothing.
This is my first Thanksgiving in United States. Well actually, first Thanksgiving anywhere. Cold Storage turkey in Singapore doesn’t count. I’m lucky to be invited to celebrate Thanksgiving in a family setting.
The ham was good. The turkey was good. It’s good to be on top of the food chain.
Food tastes better when you’re competing to get to the pie. Pecan pie, chocolate pie, lemon pie (that tasted like cheese), and did I mention Italian Creme cake?
We made up a theory in the evening related to space and time, of why time feels accelerated during year ends. It has to do with mass and gravity caused by food consumption.
What happens when you get closer to gravity? Time, at the lowest point on earth is just a little faster than time around earth’s orbit. Greater mass induces more gravity. Food consumption gives mass. Hence, the accelerated time effect!
For the women, the day after Thanksgiving is a shopping spree when shops would open at 5am with crazy discounts. I’d leave that to the professional shoppers. The average buyer would be trampled in shoppers stampede.
Thanksgiving marks the start to the best season of the year.
