This is a Rodentia Sciuridae, also known as squirrel. It is food.
These creatures are known for gathering and storing nuts for the winter, usually in a hidden place. And they are a persistent creature, but not all squirrels are of equal intelligence.
They are also notorious for eating out of bird feeders.
Some squirrels can be hand-fed, but be warned that they would attempt to take as much as they could. If you start feeding them today, they will come again tomorrow. They would cache most of the food some place safe.
Eating a squirrel however, is the closest one might get to eat a rodent.
